What is an SAP, and who needs one?

A Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) plays a crucial role for individuals who have failed or missed drug or alcohol tests. Required by regulatory bodies including the FMCSA, FAA, FRA, FTA, USCG, and PHMSA, SAPs help people in critical roles like truck driving regain their certification and return to work safely and legally. Our network of professionals is ready to help you meet these requirements and get back on track.

    Let's start working together!

At Aspire 2 Inspire Counseling, we believe in providing flexibility not just in your return-to-duty process but also in how you manage payments. That’s why we offer multiple payment methods, including Credit/Debit cards, Cash App Pay, Apple Pay, Affirm, and Klarna.

    SAP Evaluation Process

    Assessment

You’ll meet with a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) for an evaluation. They’ll assess your situation and recommend the necessary steps to get you back on track

    Education

Depending on the assessment, you may need to undergo education or treatment programs. The SAP will guide you through this process and ensure you receive the support you need.

    Follow-Up Testing

After completing any required education or treatment, you’ll need to undergo follow-up testing to ensure compliance with regulations and your progress towards recovery.

    Return-to-Duty

Once you’ve completed the SAP’s recommendations and any required follow-up testing, you’ll undergo a return-to-duty evaluation. This evaluation determines if you’re fit to return to safety-sensitive duties.

    Monitoring

In some cases, ongoing monitoring may be necessary to ensure continued compliance and support your long-term success.

    Support

Throughout the entire process, the SAP will provide guidance, and support to help you navigate the challenges and successfully return to your safety-sensitive role.
